The stock hood was on when the car was taken.
And yes, I do have full coverage so I will be able to get a new ride if this one doesn't turn up. Maybe a hatchback is the way to go...
My Sol was taken from in front of my house in Tacoma on Thursday night. It's a '97 VTEC model, pretty stock looking except for the T1R exhaust and SSR wheels. If you see it, please call the police.
Hopefully it will turn up but I'm assuming the worst. Seems like there's been a rash of thefts lately. I didn't have an alarm but then again I never thought this would happen to me.
Anyway, I hope all of your cars are safe and may this be a reminder to not get too lax about thieves.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well i think seattle and tacoma placed pretty high on the list of cities with the most stolen cars. Anyways thats the second theft this year...really too bad and it will get worse with the lackness in laws here...what about your CF hood? That should be very noticeable...Originally posted by david97vtec:

I took it off for the winter and hadn't put it back on yet. Right now it's sitting in my garage.
I believe Tacoma is at the top for car thefts Thomas, but they have been breaking up a few rings though. Anyway if they really want your car bad enough they will get it no matter if you have anti-theft devices on it or not, it's just to easy. It just slows them down a bit or stops the casual thief.
And to think I am going to be doing another bit on anti-theft stuff again you can do for little of no money at the next 'Fix-It' type meet we have like I did at the last one.
Anyway so sorry to hear about that David and good luck with the outcome on it whichever way it goes. I've been there, done that, and by the way the last car I sold was stolen about a month after the person got it.

The car was found yesterday, and I haven't seen it yet but apparently it's completely stripped. They even spray painted it inside and out.
Waiting now for the insurance company to determine if it's totaled. Anyone have any suggestions on how NOT to get screwed on the value of the car?
they ussually give you blue book value. so if you had any after market parts my suggestion is that if you did not get extra insurrance on that then you will only be insured for the car only.
